The glass laminating furnace is a high-efficiency and energy-saving glass equipment independently developed by Shandong Eworld Glass Machine Co.Ltd. for producing high-end laminated glass, The equipment uses a new type of EVA film to stack two or more pieces of glass together, and uses a vacuum bag (silicone tape) to heat and extract vacuum at high temperature to heat the glass and EVA film together, while producing safe laminated glass. After put the glass in the vacuum bag, the vacuum system will help exhaust the air from the vacuum bag, create a vacuum environment in the vacuum bag. Which method to choose for laminating glass producing, 

 

the PVB laminating or EVA laminating?

Laminated glass is a widely used type of glass in the field of architectural glass, also known as safety glass. Laminated glass, as the name suggests, is a glass composed of multiple layers. Apart from the glass, the remaining layer is the interlayer in the middle of the glass. There are usually three types of interlayers: EVA, PVB, and SGP.

The common laminating process is generally divided into two types: PVB laminating and EVA laminating.

PVB laminating requires a series of equipment such as high-pressure reactors, roller presses, and film washing machines, with high investment costs. Even smaller high-pressure reactors can cost four to five hundred thousand yuan. The high-pressure reactor mainly consists of four steps: cleaning, laminating, preloading, and entering the reactor.

Principle: Cleaning and laminating will not be discussed further. Pre pressing is achieved by compressing the air between two pieces of glass and the middle PVB into small bubbles using a roller press, allowing the two pieces of glass to adhere together through PVB; Entering the kettle is to compress the bubbles inside the high-pressure kettle by more than ten atmospheres until they are invisible to the naked eye. Its characteristic is relatively high strength. Mainly used for car front windshield, etc. The storage process and processing method of PVB interlayer are more complex than EVA, with higher requirements for temperature and humidity. When processing laminated PVB, the temperature should be controlled between 18 -23 , the relative humidity should be controlled between 18-23%, and the PVB should maintain a moisture content of 0.4% -0.6%. After preheating, rolling, or vacuuming, an autoclave is used for insulation and pressure maintenance. The autoclave temperature is 120-130 , the pressure is 1.0-1.3MPa, and the time is 30-60min. The PVB complete production equipment requires a capital of about 150,000 US dollars.

EVA laminating only requires a laminating furnace, which mainly includes cleaning, laminating, and furnace feeding.

The principle is to use a vacuum pump to pre draw air between two pieces of proportional material, creating a vacuum state inside the silicone bag, and then entering the furnace at high temperature to melt the EVA film and bond the two pieces of glass together. Its characteristics are good adhesion and good transparency. The characteristic of EVA film is relatively low investment cost, with equipment costing around 20000 US dollars per unit. Mainly used in architectural glass, such as curtain walls, skylights, canopies, and other laminated glass.
